On Gender Tending (2025)

We are gender tenders. We are here to nurture what’s blooming inside us.

We prune when needed. We compost what’s no longer serving. We water what’s thirsty. We rest when the soil is cold. We don’t force a flower to open before it’s ready. And we relocate what needs new space to thrive, even if it sprouted somewhere unexpected.

We grow from within, from decay, from wind-carried knowing, from memory in the mulch. We are not vessels for anyone else’s becoming, but our own.

To be a gender tender is to know that growth is not performance. It is presence.
